Bio-based Material Solutions

EnyoungBioⓇ meets the demand for sustainable products from customers and consumers through an extensive range of customizable bio-based material solutions.

Bio-based materials are derived from renewable biomass resources to varying extents, such as corn starch, sugarcane, beets, cellulose, or plant oils, which differ from traditional plastics that are fully derived from petroleum or natural gas.

Compared to fossil-based plastics, EnyoungBioⓇ's bio-based product range is widely applicable and helps reduce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions.

Superior Performance

In certain applications, EnyoungBioⓇ biobased materials offer mechanical properties and durability that are comparable to or even exceed traditional materials, including elasticity, softness, and wrinkle resistance.

Why Non-plastic

Over 300 million tons of plastic is produced every year, and that amount is expected to triple by 2050. Plastic can be convenient for things that need to last, but all too often, the plastic we use has a short lifecycle and it ends up in the wrong place.

Furthermore, when disposed, littered, and even in use, plastic degrades into microplastics. Those tiny particles last forever, accumulate in the nature and cause a serious health threat to animals and humans.

Currently, on average, we ingest 5 grams of microplastics a week, the equivalent of a credit card. Microplastics run through our veins and our lungs. They have even been discovered in the placentas of unborn babies.

Historically, the fashion and packaging industries have relied on thermoplastic elastomers, with advancements in product development driving material innovation. Growing awareness of the environmental impact of plastics has led various brands to adopt new corporate policies aimed at raising awareness and promoting a responsible product chain.

Today, major fashion brands acknowledge and embrace this perspective, showing a strong interest in recyclable materials with minimal environmental footprints. Their increasing interest in sustainable solutions is transforming the market. EnyoungBioⓇ's biobased fabric range maintains the same characteristics and features as petroleum-based plastic products.
